In Looker Studio, you can limit the access and capabilities of both editors and viewers to better control how your reports are used and shared.
To prevent editors from changing access or adding new people to a report, go to the "Share" options and then click on "Manage Access." Check the box that says "Prevent editors from changing access and adding new people." This ensures that editors can only make changes to the report but cannot manage access for other users.
If you want to restrict viewers from downloading, printing, or making a copy of a report in order to create dashboard templates, go to the "Share" options, click on "Manage Access," and disable the option that allows viewers to download, print, or make a copy. This prevents viewers from downloading the report as a PDF or creating a copy within their Looker Studio account. While they can still view the report, they won't be able to access the report's structure or settings.
By limiting access for editors and viewers, you can maintain better control over your reports and ensure that only authorized users can access specific features or capabilities.
